As a sexual medicine professional and couples therapist, I will advise and treat you and your partner in all questions and difficulties in your sex life.
Sexual-medical therapy possibilities should be considered:
- in the case of lacking sexual desire (libido disorder)
- in connection with life changes (after giving birth, in menopause) to reestablish a fulfilling love life
- in the case of sexual difficulties within the scope of chronic illnesses, e.g. cancer
- in all questions and difficulties regarding sexuality in older age
- in the case of difficulties in sexual interaction with your partner
- in the case of pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia)
- in the case of the impossibility of penetrative sexual intercourse (vaginism)
- in the case of pain/ paraesthesia despite a normal physical examination of the outer vagina (vulvodynia/ vestibulodynia)
- in the case of premature ejaculation (ejaculatio praecox)
- in the case of uncertainty regarding sexual preference
- assistance in coming out as homosexual
I offer sexual therapy to individuals or couples as a single therapist.
Through many years of working together with Prof. Dr. med. Dietmar Richter (gynecologist, psychotherapist, couples and family therapist, sexual therapist), Bad Säckingen, we also offer sexual therapies as a pair.
Treatment by a duo of therapists (Mrs. Dr. med. R. Engel-Széchényi/ Prof. Dr. med. D. Richter) provides a special balance for the couple seeking assistance and can lead to a reduction in the duration of therapy required.
