Ms. X comes to her first appointment. She is 23 years old and tells me the following story in tears: she has been left for the second time in a row by a man because the sex wasn’t exactly working out. 

Upon insertion of the penis she “shut down”, making penetration impossible. Her partner didn’t want to hurt her, so they stopped intercourse.

There were further attempts, but they ended equally as frustratingly. Although both partners assured her that sex is not the most important thing, the relationships ultimately fell apart because of this.

She especially liked that last partner, which is why the separation is so painful for her.

She now wants to find out what is wrong with her, since apparently everybody can have sex, just not her.
