Sexuality in older age

Ms. X, 58 years old, tells me during a cancer screening that she has recently been having difficulties sleeping with her husband.

For one, she has the feeling that she no longer really becomes wet, and her husband, who is two years older, increasingly suffers from lacking stiffness.

Attempts to sleep with each other nonetheless were stopped because it was hurting her and he was ashamed of his lacking firmness.

They never really spoke openly with each other about these problems, thinking maybe they are simply too old for sex.
